A long-time resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Tom Metzler grew up on a farm in nearby Lancaster County where working with his hands was a part of life. His current home in Yardley contains furniture he crafted from wood taken from cherry and walnut trees which grew on the family farm near Manheim, PA. These include a grandfather clock and two other prized pieces-- a harpsichord and a 4-rank pipe organ. Tom began building furniture more than 30 years ago and started this full-time woodworking business in June, 2000, following a 20-year career in graphic design. Each of the works featured in the Design Gallery was designed, built, finished, and installed by him. If you appreciate attention to detail and solid workmanship, Thomas Metzler may be the craftsman for you. |
